A popular roving festival, the 22nd Annual Napa Sonoma Wine County Film Festival takes place outdoors in spectacular settings and in select theaters and venues in and around some of the most beautiful real estate in Napa and Sonoma Valleys, California.
Enjoy the perfect kind of California international film festival, celebrating world cinema, world culture, with special food and wine events, galas, seminars with attending filmmakers and lots of entertainment good for all ages, and of course, Homes Magazine will be there. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the amenities of this world-renowned vacation and second home destination. Big-name stars rub shoulders with locals and tourists at this critically-acclaimed festival, now a Napa and Sonoma Valley fixture for over two decades. Films from an amazingly wide array of countries bring the world to the wine country. The well-loved "Films al Fresco" series screens offerings in gorgeous vineyard settings, allowing festival-goers to enjoy the temperate summer weather. This being Sonoma County, wine and food are also part of the mix-tastings and cooking demonstrations are concurrent with many of the screenings. Local towns participating in the festival include Napa, Los Carneros, Sonoma, and American Canyon.

Festival Overview
Internationally known for spectacular open air film screenings, there are sixteen celestial film nights:
Eight film nights at Sequoia Grove Vineyards on Highway 29 in Rutherford in the Napa Valley: July 22-25 and July 29 - August 1.
Eight film nights at Kunde Estate Winery on Highway 12 in Kenwood in the Sonoma Valley: August 5-8 and August 12-15.
In addition, over 100 films from around the world (in addition to our sixteen celestial film nights) screen at Copia, the American Center for Food, Wine and the Arts in Napa, the historic Sebastiani Theater in Sonoma and at the Kenwood Train Depot, in Kenwood.
Mission NSWCFF is a celebration of world culture where cinema, cuisine, community and conscience converge. Each extended weekend is a festival within a festival with a strong emphasis on Master Classes, Q&As, and panel discussions with industry notables.
History
The Annual Napa Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival is the oldest and longest running film festival in the wine country region of California. Located 55 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge, the NSWCFF is held in Napa, Los Carneros and in Sonoma.
The festival presents features, documentaries, shorts and animation in six categories:
World Cinema, US Cinema, Arts in Film (films about music, dance and the arts,), CineLatino, Cinema of Conscience (about social issues), and EcoCinema. We program SHORTS, DOCUMENTARIES, ANIMATION, and FEATURES.
AWARDS include: Best First Feature, David L. Wolper Best Documentary Film, Best Short, Jack London Screenplay Award, Humanitarian Award, Distinguished Artists Awards, Gaia Awards, Best of the Fest, Audience Awards.
