Experienced Realtor from Denver takes the helm at Keller Williams Realty Carmel

Keller Williams Realty Carmel is pleased to announce, that as of this month, Zach Merritt has officially joined the team to take the reins as the company’s interim Team Leader.  Most recently he served as the Team Leader/CEO/Employing Broker for the 150 person Keller Williams Realty downtown office in Denver, Colorado. He takes over for Janet Reilly, who stepped down from the position in July to pursue her real estate sales career full-time.

Zach has been a part of the Keller Williams Realty team since 2002, while in Denver, and has been fortunate to have experienced several roles during his career; individual agent, mega-team owner and team leader.

He began his real estate career in Aspen, Colorado and the Roaring Fork Valley working as a public relations and marketing consultant with the major golf course and real estate developments in the area.

Soon after, he focused solely on real estate sales and property management in Aspen and the surrounding area while working with the former Aspen mayor, Bill Stirling of Stirling Homes, Inc.  Zach helped to increase sales in the two-person firm upwards of $25 million in the first year.  He also worked directly with spec developers from concept to completion and sale on land and home projects ranging from $1 million to $7.5 million.

Relocated to Denver in 2002, he established the Merritt Group in 2004. During this time, Zach developed a strong referral client base and focused on asset disposition and servicing of REO portfolios for some of the largest investors in the United States.  He is a member of the NRBA (National REO Brokers Association) and was ranked among the top 3% of REALTORS® in Denver in 2004, 2005, and 2006 by the Denver Board of REALTORS®.

On a personal note, Zach is excited to be in Carmel. “It’s a wonderful experience for me and gets me back to an atmosphere and community that I truly appreciate.” He is looking forward to working with and continuing the phenomenal growth that the Keller Williams Realty team in Carmel has experienced since opening its doors in late 2004. Today, the local Keller Williams Realty brokerage has grown to more than 120 real estate agents and staff and maintains 3 additional satellite real estate offices around the Monterey Peninsula — Downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, Del Rey Oaks and Pacific Grove.
